
Jeff Walkup is a fee-based financial advisor with over 20 years of experience assisting clients to grow, protect and preserve their wealth. He specializes in comprehensive financial planning, retirement income planning and independent investment advice.
Jeff began his career in financial services as a representative for Aid Association for Lutherans (now Thrivent). During that time he obtained the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation, the most respected designation of insurance expertise, as well the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation. He began working as a financial advisor with the Mutual Benefit Credit Union in 1998. That same year he obtained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) professional designation and has retained his professional standing through the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. He became an independent financial advisor in 2001.
His affiliation with Queen City Financial Advisors provides him the ability to access a wealth of knowledge while also having the freedom to assist his clients based on their specific needs with no proprietary constraints.
Jeff has given presentations on financial planning for employees of Cinergy (now Duke Energy) through the Mutual Benefit Credit Union, graduating doctors of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and members of the Cincinnati Women's Club. He has also acted as an expert legal witness on insurance and investment matters.
Jeff lives in the Westwood area of Cincinnati. He enjoys international travel and working on his 100-year old house. He keeps in shape through running and CrossFit. Jeff has climbed Mt. Ranier and run three marathons, including the New York City Marathon in November 2010. He is also studying French and has served on the board of the Alliance Francaise of Cincinnati.
